Paper Tiger Films LLC is a multimedia production company established by Karen Sickles and James Parris with the purpose of creating theatrical motion pictures, episodic digital series and commercials. Across the entertainment spectrum, the Science Fiction / Fantasy / Thriller genres have consistently performed in theatrical and VOD markets. JAMES PARRIS
A graduate of New York City’s High School of Art and Design and Pratt Institute – and a 20-year veteran of the animation and visual-effects industry, James Parris will head up the visual and creative direction of Paper Tiger Films and its debut feature films, The Modern Girl’s Guide to Wishing, Sawtooth and Greenhaven. James brings a wealth of experience from his creative involvement in such films as The Lion King, Spiderman, X2: Xmen United, I Robot, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

A 30 year veteran of the animation and visual effects industries, working with powerhouses Disney Animation, Industrial Light + Magic and Digital Domain, Karen Sickles has spent her entire career focused on the development and shepherding of film projects and the talent that creates them.
As a co-founding partner of Paper Tiger Films, Karen aligns her immense experience and passion with the development and shepherding of independent feature films and series through the wilderness of the entertainment industry – into theatres and streaming services near you.
