JAMES PARRIS

‘Writer-director-visual-effects-and-animation-supervisor’ makes for a cumbersome multi-hyphenate. ‘All-Purpose Geek’ might fit better on a card. James Parris brings a wealth of VFX and storytelling knowledge from his creative involvement in such films as The Lion King, Spider-Man, X2: X-Men United, I Robot, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Greenhaven became a goal for Paper Tiger Films development as early as 2005, when James became obsessed with the universal themes of parental disaffection and ecological destruction. It’s a story he hopes can speak to both issues in a meaningful way.

JESSICA HOBBS

Jessica Hobbs spent the early part of her career working in technical theater, opera, and film festivals while earning her film degree at the University of Colorado. She spent a year touring with a Vaudeville theater company, which included a 3-week run at the New Victory Theater in New York. After five years working in Reality Television as a writer’s assistant and Associate Producer, Jessica made the move to Los Angeles, where she works with the Sundance Institute while developing film, theatre and TV projects as a writer and producer.
